Our Mission

Hope. Dignity. Christ's Love.

The Christmas Store is a ministry of Outreach – a community effort that has served families for over thirty years. Each December, thousands of neighbors come together to support families in vulnerable situations in making Christmas special for their children.

Restoring Hope

A family hoping for an affordable Christmas walks out of the Store with wrapped gifts for each child and their dignity preserved.

Preserving Dignity

Parents have the opportunity to shop and select gifts for their children, making the experience personal and meaningful.

Sharing Christ's Love

Volunteers serve throughout the Store, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere filled with the joy of Christmas.

How the Store Works

  1. 1

Local businesses, churches, community organizations, and individual donors provide new gifts and host gift drives for their neighborhood Christmas Store.

  2. 2

Families receive an invitation to shop at their neighborhood store.

  3. 3

At the store, parents pick out brand-new gifts for their own children at deeply discounted prices (75% off retail).

  4. 4

Volunteers wrap gifts, assist with selecting gifts, drive the shuttle bus, and take on many other roles in order to make each store a reality.

  5. 5

Parents carry gifts home to place under their own tree, where the joy of giving stays with the family all year.

  6. 6

Proceeds from the store support Family Stabilization Services, which provides financial assistance to individuals and families in the local community throughout the year.
